One of my favorite hobbies is hiking, and there are so many opportunities in the Birmingham area, with Oak Mountain being the most popular. Several months ago, I began praying for a friend to hike alongside. Todd travels for his job during the football season, and I don’t think he loves hiking as much as I do. Plus, I need to make new friends.
So, a few months ago, I was hiking the Dunnavant Trail, which is closer to home, when I kept hearing a lot of laughter. Eventually, I caught up with the group of ladies responsible for all the fun. I spoke to them and walked on past, but upon turning around, I noticed they all had name tags. I inquired, and before I knew it, one of the ladies invited me to join them. I have been hiking with them ever since, and let me just say, they are such wonderful ladies. I feel incredibly blessed to have met them. So, yes, God didn’t just give me one friend, but many!
